1. Back Pain
Most golfers, whatever their level, will experience back pain at some point during their playing life. Those who play infrequently may experience back pain because they are unfit or have poor swing technique.

2. Elbow Pain
Elbow pain is particularly common in women golfers as they naturally have what is known as an increased "carryng angle" in comparision to men. This is the natural angle at which the forearm hangs away from the body when your arms are down by your sides with the palms facing forwards.

3. Shoulder Pain
Shoulder pain is another common complaint amongst golfers, which is unsuprising, given the large range of movement that the shoulder goes through during the downswing and back swing.

4. Hook of Hamate Fracture
Sometimes it can be fractures when a golfer plays a "fat shot" and accidentally strikes the ground with the club, instead of the ball. This suddenly decelerates the golf club, and forces the top of the handle against the hook of the hamate of the hand which is on top in the grip position.

5. Ankle Sprain
Ankle sprains are common in golf, probably as a result of the distances golfers walk over uneven ground whilst carrying heavy clubs. The term ankle sprain means injury to the supporting ligaments of the ankle (most commonly the ligaments on the outside edge of the ankle).
